Hispanic Heritage is the celebration of hispanic countries. We celebrate Hispanic cultures from all of hispanic countries for example, Mexico, Colombia, Guatemala, Nicaragua, etc. During the hispanic heritage month, people dance to salsa, eat latin food and show respect and honor for our culture. Hispanic Heritage used to be celebrated for a week until it was expanded to a whole month in 1988. Hispanic Heritage lasts from September 15 to October 15.
The Hispanic Heritage month is a great way to get the family together and enjoy each other. This is the time when all latin cultures come together as one and celebrate what we all have in common. You can also learn about the different Spanish dialects from each country, the type of music each country has and the different foods. Hispanic Heritage celebrates the independence of these latin countries as well. Without the independences, these latin countries wouldn’t not have the freedom to celebrate their cultures. And it’s also a great way to meet new people and learn about the different cultures that come together on such a special month.
